Starting as a young member of the Braintree Town Meeting, he has grown into a respected representative, committed to the needs of middle-class families.

His broad experience in both public and private sectors has made him a trusted advocate for practical solutions in Massachusetts.

Stephen's Journey

Born and raised in West Roxbury, Braintree, and South Boston, Stephen Michael Palmer attended Archbishop Williams High School and graduated from Braintree High.

He pursued higher education in political science at Boston College and Harvard University.

Now residing on Martingale Lane in Plymouth, Stephen is a proud father of two children who attend Plymouth Public Schools.

Professional Experience

For 12 years, Stephen was a concierge at Tillinger’s of Boston and a night manager at the Crowne Plaza in Newton Centre.

His previous roles include accounts payable/receivable officer at the Harvard Faculty Club and 12 years at the Algonquin Club of Boston.

These positions have given him a deep understanding of the challenges faced by middle-class working families.

Public Sector Service

Stephen's commitment to public service began early. He was elected as a Braintree Town Meeting Member at just 17½ years old and later served as a Plymouth Town Meeting representative.

His long-standing dedication to civic duty is a testament to his passion for serving the community.

Community Service

Stephen has been actively involved in various community service roles, including:

  • Volunteering as a pre-law clerk with the NAACP Boston Chapter to prevent housing evictions
  • Teaching preschool in the Cathedral low-income housing projects in the South End
  • Working with the Boston Group for Housing, a nonprofit in the South End
  • Serving as an assistant Scout Master for the first special needs Boy Scout troop in the country, based in Braintree
  • Initiating community improvement projects in Plymouth, such as rehabilitating recreational facilities, planting flowers, mowing lawns, and fixing fences.
